What vendors can I use?
We have an open vendor policy, which means you may hire any vendor you choose. We also have a preferred vendor list that we would love to share with you; vendors on this list are licensed, insured, and pre-vetted by our team to ensure they provide elevated service and quality products. You may hire caterers that are not on our list; however, any caterer not listed will need pre-approval by our team. We ask that new caterers provide a copy of their catering license, come for a walkthrough of the venue, and agree to our cleanup rules. All vendors must provide a copy of their liability insurance at least two weeks prior to the event. Your caterer must serve any alcohol provided during your event; separate bartending companies or individuals are not permitted.
Do I need a coordinator?
Coordinators are not a required vendor for weddings at The Foundry, but we do suggest you have one! One of The Foundry’s event coordinators will be available during your event should you have questions or concerns regarding the space, however outside coordinators often provide a much more detailed service when it comes to the flow and management of event particulars. We have an amazing list of several wonderful vendors that can help make your event magical!
Do you have tables and chairs?
Yes! We have 24 60” rounds, and 200 chairs, but if you need more or are interested in another style, we will happily recommend a rental company! This is so each event can be unique and renters can have freedom in how they choose to decorate the space.

Our floors are original and the history is evident in every step you take. Some guests decide to rent a dance floor, and some choose to dance directly on the polished concrete.

Our Story: A Historic Legacy on Broadway
Known locally for years as the “Mitchell Building,” this venue has done more than stand the test of time; it has lived and inspired the times.
The Foundry on Broadway stands as a proud testament to Frankfort’s rich history and vibrant community spirit. Our building has lived many lives, each chapter adding character, purpose, and heart to the space we now call home.
In 1891, the story began with the construction of the Charles Stubenrauch Saloon, a lively gathering place in the heart of downtown Frankfort. By 1936, it evolved into the Paul Miller Garage, serving as Frankfort's Packard sales and service dealership, marking an era of automotive innovation.
Following World War II, in 1945, Orby Jackson and Thomas Spaulding transformed the space once again—opening the Broadway Grill, which combined a wholesale fruit grocery with a local restaurant that quickly became a neighborhood staple.
Throughout the 1960s, the building adapted to various uses, including a taxi service, army surplus store, and the Endicott Distributing Company, each leaving its unique imprint on the space.
In 1967, Mitchell’s Clothing Store moved in, becoming a downtown fixture for over four decades until its doors closed in 2012.
Today, this storied location begins its newest chapter. Revitalized by local business owners, the space has been thoughtfully reimagined as The Foundry on Broadway, a one-of-a-kind event venue that blends historic charm with modern elegance. We’re honored to preserve its legacy while creating a place where new memories are made.
